How the migration works

1 · Audit

Free analysis of your current site: performance, structure, content. You get an honest assessment and a fixed price.

2 · Migration

We rebuild your site in Next.js, move the content and set up redirects, so your Google rankings are preserved.

3 · Launch

Go-live with a performance check, clean Core Web Vitals and a handover you can maintain yourself. Or we do it.

What happens to your URLs and content in a Next.js migration

Your site's URL structure is a central part of your Google rankings. That is why it is fully mapped before the migration: every indexed page, category and post gets a clearly defined destination in the new Next.js structure. Where URLs have to change, permanent 301 redirects take over, so Google and existing backlinks are routed cleanly to the new address.

The technical SEO signals come along too: meta titles and descriptions, canonical tags, structured data and the XML sitemap are carried over or rebuilt cleanly. Before go-live, the new site runs on a staging environment where content, forms and redirects are tested calmly, without touching your existing site. After go-live we check in Google Search Console that all redirects work and no crawling errors appear.

Your content is not lost in the process: text, images and documents are exported from WordPress and moved into the new site. For ongoing editing there are two routes. Either WordPress stays in the background as a headless CMS and feeds content to the Next.js frontend, or we connect a modern headless CMS in which you keep editing text and images yourself. Which route makes sense for you is settled in the free audit.

As a web agency we serve clients in Vienna and across Austria. Our office is in 1220 Vienna; an in-person intro meeting is possible by appointment, as is a video call.

Common questions about the migration

What does a WordPress-to-Next.js migration cost?

You get a fixed price after the free audit, depending on the scope and features of your site. For an honest look at typical market price ranges, see our overview (in German): What does a website cost in Austria?

Will I lose my Google rankings?

No, not with a clean migration: content, URL structure and redirects are carried over completely. The details (in German): WordPress to Next.js without ranking loss and our migration guide on the blog.

How long does the migration take?

That depends on the scope of your site. After the audit you get a binding schedule, including content transfer, redirects and a performance check before go-live.

Can I keep editing my content myself?

Yes. On request we connect a modern headless CMS so you can keep changing text and images yourself. Whether that route is worth it for you (in German): Is headless WordPress worth it?

Is Next.js even the right choice for me?

Not always, and we will tell you so openly. For an honest decision framework (in German): Next.js or WordPress? It often starts with the diagnosis: Why is my WordPress site so slow?
